2011 Canton and Ianto

Ianto flags down a student on the way by: "Excuse me? What's going on?" He gets an excited he signed off on it, man, it's legal before the student joins the, well, more of a gathering now at the gazebo.

Canton looks around in confusion. Honestly, he has no idea what's going on. He's so far behind, he doesn't even know what a rainbow flag represents. He looks back at Ianto, very obviously having no idea what the student meant -- or far too many ideas and having no way of telling which one it is. "What's legal? Ianto?"

Alright, alright. Someone's bound to shout it out soon if he doesn't fess up. Ianto tucks his mobile into his pocket, unable to resist a small smile. Never thought he'd live to see the day. "The president signed off on a law making it illegal to deny any gay couple the right to marry. Any state that hasn't already is obligated to allow and recognize gay marriage."

If it sounds like he's quoting something, that's because he is. The wonder of the internet! After a moment for that to sink in, he continues, a bit more hesitant. "Additionally, it's illegal to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. Particularly in the workplace. Steep fines." He falters into a half-smile. Congratulations?
